"Felt stuck trying to check out"
The site kept freezing on me, and my payment failed twice. I felt kind of trapped on the checkout page, just waiting and retrying with no idea if it was actually going through. Really annoying experience

"Really disappointing food options"
I was disappointed with the food situation. The bar closed earlier than expected, and the menu was so limited there was barely anything to choose from. When I asked about other options, I felt a bit talked down to, which made the whole experience even more frustrating.

"Not really worth the price"
Stayed here for a long weekend. Honestly... it just didn’t feel worth the money. The lodge was a bit tired, like it needed some proper updating. And then all the little extras added up fast. For what we paid, I expected a lot more. Better comfort, better value, just... better. I wouldn’t book it again.

I stayed with Landal and, depending on what you need from your trip, the WiFi might be a real issue. If you’re going there to fully switch off, maybe it won’t bother you much, but I still expected to be able to do basic things like check messages, look up maps, or plan days out. Most of the time the WiFi either dropped out completely or just wouldn’t load anything. Mobile signal wasn’t much better either, usually one bar if I was lucky. It made it quite frustrating trying to contact family or sort out plans. For a holiday park, I don’t think it’s good enough these days to have such unreliable connection for simple everyday stuff.

"Service made things more stressful"
We had a question during our stay and, the staff just weren’t helpful at all. It kind of felt like we were bothering them just by asking, which was frustrating. I don’t know, maybe it was just a bad day, but it really made the whole trip feel more stressful than it needed to be.

"Not quite what we were hoping for"
The lodge we stayed in was a bit disappointing, to be honest. It felt tired inside and didn’t seem like it had been cleaned as well as it should have been. There were stains on the sofa, a damp sort of smell in the bedroom, and a few broken bits in the kitchen. We did mention it to staff, but nothing much seemed to change. For the price, I guess we just expected it to feel a lot better looked after.

I was a bit disappointed. We went expecting there to be at least a few fun things for the kids to do, but there was barely anything happening for them. When I asked about it, it kind of felt like it wasn’t really a concern, which made the whole experience feel a little dismissive.

We didn’t find it very family friendly. The stuff for kids felt limited, and the staff didn’t really seem able to help much. It’s one of those places that just feels like it wasn’t made with families in mind, so it ended up being more hassle than relaxing for us.

"Check-in and check-out were all over the place"
Check-in took way longer than it should have, and it kind of felt like nobody at the desk really had a handle on what was happening. We ended up getting our keys late, which wasn’t a great way to start the trip. Then check-out wasn’t much better, with instructions that were unclear. Maybe there was some poor organization behind the scenes, but either way, it made both ends of the stay more stressful than they needed to be.

I had such a frustrating experience. I reached out expecting at least some kind of help or update, but it felt like I was just being ignored the whole time. No clear answers, no follow-up, nothing. I was basically left in the dark and had to figure things out on my own. Definitely not a company I’d want to deal with again.

"Not as private as I hoped"
I booked this hoping for a quiet little break, but it felt sooo much busier than I expected. There were people walking past the lodge all day, so it didn’t feel reeeally private or relaxing. Bit disappointing overall, and I wouldn’t go back.

"Felt a bit stranded and misled by the location"
The place definitely looked better online than it felt in person. The area around it was disappointing, with not much nearby and roads that were awkward to get around. The views also weren’t what we expected. We kind of felt left in the dark about what the location was actually like, and once we got there, it felt really cut off from everything. we left feeling like we’d picked the wrong spot.

"The cabin details didn’t match what I was told"
I was disappointed because the information I was given about the cabin ended up being wrong. I had planned around what was listed and what I thought I was getting, so it was frustrating to arrive and realize things didn’t match up. It wasn’t necessarily the end of the world, but it definitely made the experience more annoying than it needed to be, especially since accurate cabin info is kind of important when you’re booking and preparing for a stay.

I tried booking a lodge, but the whole process was frustrating. The pages kept jumping around, and every time I set the filters, they seemed to reset. It took way longer than it should have. Then when I finally got to the payment screen, it froze completely. I ended up giving up in the end

"Frustrating Delay With a Leak"
I reported a leak twice and still didn’t have anyone come out until the next day. It was really frustrating just waiting around and worrying about the damage getting worse. I felt ignored, and by the time someone finally showed up, I was upset and disappointed.

"Not as dog-friendly as I’d hoped"
I booked this place because I thought it would be great for bringing our dog along, but it ended up being frustrating. There were loads of rules, and we found there were hardly any areas we could actually take him. As someone who likes travelling with my dog, it just didn’t feel as welcoming or practical as I expected

The hot tub had a strange smell, and the jets were barely working. I mean, you’d expect something like that to be clean and fully functional when you’re paying for it. Disappointing experience overall.

"I’m not sure if I was just unlucky…"
I’m not sure if I was just unlucky, but the communication before arrival really wasn’t great. I found myself having to chase for basic information, and when replies did come through, they were either slow or not very clear. Maybe I expected too much, but it made the lead-up to the trip more stressful than it needed to be. Not the best start, and I don’t think I’d book again unless the communication improves.

"Not Exactly Sparkling Clean"
The lodge felt dirty from the moment we walked in. The floors were sticky, the bathroom clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly, and we had to clean a few bits ourselves before even unpacking. Nothing says relaxing getaway like doing someone else’s cleaning job first...
